ABOUT  ME

Hey there! My name is Ryan and I love sports, adventure, Jesus & dogs.

Born and raised in Western Maryland, but I have lived in Baltimore for about 5 years now.

Graduated from West Virginia University with my B.S. in Wildlife & Fisheries Resources Management.

Marched for the Pride of WV, performing in the Drumline while at WVU.

Boonsboro, Morgantown, Birmingham and now Baltimore.

I have lived in three different states and have captured many personalities throughout my adventures.

Not only am I a Photographer - I work full time with the MD DNR.

I am the only Forest Ranger in Baltimore County.

I love hiking and being outdoors - which is why I also chose that as my profession.

I have two Siberian huskies: Dakoda & Koral that I absolutely love and who are also my adventure buddies.

My Faith, Friends & Family are what keep me grounded even amongst the busy seasons of life.

My photo journey started during my childhood when I was given a FIsher-Price film camera.

I thought it was the coolest toy ever as a kid.

Several years later, I had a Sony video camera that I took everywhere, recording everything.

Then I found my parent's old 35mm camera boxed in storage when I was 16 - an Olympus OM-10.

I started messing around with it and learned all of the manual basics from that old film camera.

My love for photography grew and grew until I started professionally in my early 20's.

My first DSLR was a Sony Alpha 200.

Since then, I have always shot with a Sony - sticking with the infamous Alpha series.

I started taking my camera with me on every adventure,

snapping photos of God's Workshop as I ventured.

Landscape, wildlife and abstract scenery - pretty much anything outdoors.

And even though my favorite place to be is in the mountains with my huskies trotting ahead of me and my Sony slung over my shoulder, I still am passionate about photographing people.

To be honest, Wedding Photography seemed overwhelming from the outside looking in.

It looked stressful, scary and I was afraid to mess up someone's special day.

I assisted on my first wedding in 2008 and have grown so much from that first opportunity.

I have since fell in love with capturing those priceless, frozen moments of pure emotion.

I catch myself constantly scanning a room, searching for that one authentic moment.

You know - the one where the natural light hits her face just at the right angle.

My ultimate goal is when you find your wedding album 30 years later.

I want you to be able to flip open the first page and be entirely submersed with all of the memories and emotion all over again like it was just yesterday when you said "I do."

I am here to capture the real you.

I aim for your laughter, her tears, his personality; your soul.

I am here to tell YOUR story.
